Every company we use
This is the complete list of outside companies this site can touch — kept complete by a check that runs on every release, so it cannot quietly fall behind the code. The short version lives on our privacy page; this is the long one, for anyone who wants to check us.
Each company does a single job and gets only what that job needs. We can vouch for what leaves our servers, never for the inside of another company, so we name every provider on this page instead of promising on their behalf.

These come in only when you do the thing that needs them. Mostly that means our servers reach them; where it means a link we hand you instead, the row says so.

Merch fulfilmentThe shipping name and address you give Stripe. It passes through us without being kept.
Amazon and Bookshop.org
Shop and book linksFollow one and that store sees its own search and pays us a commission. Neither learns you are a member.
A question you asked — when you pick them to answer it, or automatically if our own engine stalls. The question, not you. A photo you add to your Closet, with its hidden camera and location data removed first — the picture, not you. For contacts you sign in at Google yourself, and the permission goes back when the window shuts.
Jitsi
A room, when a gathering happens on a screenOnly if a host taps “Make me a room” instead of pasting their own Zoom or Meet link. The room sits on Jitsi’s free public service rather than ours: we never call them, it is you and your guests who open it, and whoever arrives first is its moderator. AGP is not in the call.

Web lookups, and mark artA question you asked — when you pick them to answer it, or automatically if our own engine stalls. The question, not you. And the words you type to describe a picture you’re drawing.

Who runs inside your browser
These load onto the page you're already on, so they see you the way any site does: your IP address, and whatever they already had on your device. We can't stand in the middle of that, so we name it instead. It happens when you play or open something, not on a page you're only reading.
YouTube (Google)
How most music playsIts player runs on the page, so YouTube sees your address and the video, with Google’s cookies if you’re signed in anywhere. A mixtape to a non-member uses their no-cookie host.
Apple Music
Music playback, if you pick itApple’s player loads here and you sign in to your own account; that never comes to us. Album covers too.
JustWatch
Show and film postersPosters load straight from JustWatch. The search words go through us.

What each room keeps
- Music Videos — Songs and playlists you save, what you ask for and play, songs you take out, and the music service you use. 'More like this' on an AGP playlist song also counts, with no name attached, toward next week's playlist.
- Media — Your streaming services, and the shows, channels, stations, podcasts, audiobooks and articles you keep, and what you played or opened.
- Pulse — Your answers, any note you add, and questions you put away.
- Shop — Your favorites, your research tables, and things you recommended.
- Polls — Your answers and your personality type, and — if you share them — your politics and religion, plus a leaning read from your own Pulse answers.
- Voices — What you post, under the handle you choose. Statistics you mark Interesting — kept on your page, and counted with no name attached so we know which to show.
- Stocklist — Companies you follow and why, your alerts and charts, and any spending, statements or documents you bring in.
- Bills — Where you bank (names only) and the bills you add, with their dates.
- Calendar — The days and to-dos you add, and the links of calendars you connect.
- Volunteer — The hours and money you log.
- Home — The apps, utilities and people you add for where you live.
- Game room — Games you play, keep or pass on.
- Invitations — Your invitations and the messages you keep to send with them.
- Spam — Nothing. A thumbs up or down, or a yes or no on 'Was this helpful?' — no name attached. If you came from an ad, the ad service is told the page was used.
- Circles — Your people, your circles, and the notes you keep about them.
- Closet — The things you record, their pictures, and what you paid.
- Been There — Your listings and asks.
- Reviews — Your notes on the businesses and people you use.
- Stories — What you write.
- Weather — Your places in your own words, the heads-ups you ask for, and the weather sites you pick.
- Places — Trips you save between your places.
- Is it real? — Nothing. What you paste is not kept.
- My accounts — The services and memberships you say you pay for.
- Travel — Places you're considering and the travel programs you use.
- Food — The restaurants you order from and their links.
- Health — Your insurer, pharmacy, portals, apps and the people you call, and what you type in its box.
- Tech Security — One answer and its date per card, and which credit bureaus you froze.
- Voting — The ballot you keep, the issues you mark, the candidates and notes you keep, and where you vote if you ask us to remember it.
- Record — Your facts, handles, topics, and what you told your AI about your life.
- Context — Your expertise, your causes, and writing you picked to sound like you.
- Kept chats — Conversations you chose to keep.
- Your account — How you sign in, how to reach you, your notices, your mark (the picture on your own page), what your AI may do without asking, and how your page is arranged.
Sensitive kinds, kept only if you give them: health (Health), money (Stocklist, Bills), and where you stand on politics and religion (Polls, Pulse, Voting).
